"I am a big believer in Murray and the work he and his team do at Narativ.
Their message is simple and yet profound, and their methods are effective long after they leave the room."
-Katia, CEO, online retail company
"I was fortunate enough to take Murray Nossel’s basic class in storytelling as well as two sessions of his master class. I knew I would learn about storytelling, but I was amazed by how deep Murray’s work goes.
With Murray’s excellent facilitation, I was able to go inside myself and discover stories that were amusing and moving. I learned how to speak more clearly in front of a group of people and how to guide an audience into the narrative of what I wanted to say with a style that is easy to understand.
But most of all, I found a voice and confidence that was more powerful than I could possibly imagine.
Work with Murray. Enveloped in his extraordinary listening, you will be one of the fortunate few who will be guided by a true master."
-Craig, Entrepreneur, producer, writer
"Murray brings the creativity out of me like no one has ever done before. I completely trust him."
-Trisha, Artist and performer for The Moth's Mainstage
"Murray’s Storytelling Classes benefited me as a teacher, improved my writing, taught me a new way to listen and tell stories. But this is just a part of why I kept going back and signing up for a new session.
The process in class changed how I see the world and my place in it. I am more grounded and at ease, less serious and more committed. Murray models aliveness, participation and compassion. I went to Murray’s classes for 3 years and when they start again I am going back."
-Susan, Communications teacher

1. Why was this workshop created?
I thought of creating this online workshop, because I wanted to reach as many people as possible.
People have found the method so incredibly valuable over the past 12 years, whether they’re writing a book, doing a presentation, looking to connect more genuinely with others or seeking to enhance their self awareness.
There are so many benefits and I feel it’s time to offer it to as many people as want to take it and make it as affordable as possible.
Also my friends from different countries have asked me whether it would be possible to take the workshop, and it's only been offered in New York and London.
2. Are you confident the online format works?
Yes, I am fully confident.
I have been on a number of online courses as a student and I’ve been surprised by how well the technology works.
We use a software called Zoom, which links to people's calendars so that you receive an invitation straight into your email and all you have to do is click on the link to be connected.
From a methodology point of view, I wanted to see if our method would work as an online course, and I tested it by doing a pilot, and it was absolutely wonderful.
The online students learned the method and derived the benefits of being listened to attentively by others as they excavated, crafted and told their stories.
In fact, in our post-workshop surveys, 90% of our students said the workshop had increased their confidence to tell a story due to preparation, practice, feedback, actual tools, a non-judgmental environment, and the engagement of the people participating.
3. Have you noticed particular benefits of online learning ?
Firstly, digital communication is increasingly used in business meetings, connecting with family our method can be used to enhance and optimize these communications. In this way we need to evolve along with technology.
The online workshop is also the most amazing way of being able to carry on studying, acquiring skills and developing yourself as a human being, through self-awareness and self-understanding. In our busy lives rather than having to trek across the city you can learn wherever you are.
